Pathways is a faith-based integrated English language arts program that includes: Reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, word study, phonics, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening. In each classroom the same theme is followed each month, but with grade specific theme books.

The nine themes followed in each of the grades are as follows:

• My World and Others – Geography

• Living Things – Science

• Spiritual Journey – Adventist Heritage

• Friends and Family – Social Science

• Environment – Science

• Personal Feelings and Growth – Health and Guidance

• Yesterday – History

• Social Issues and Culture – Social Science and Current Events
