Philosophy

Atlanta North School believes education is a lifelong process. An elementary school program pays an important role in the development of a child. The beliefs held as truth by a school organization determine how and what the child is taught. We believe that God is the creator of all things. Genesis 1:1 tells us, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Therefore, we look to God for truth and knowledge. The Bible reveals the knowledge needed to understand the purpose of life. “The Holy Scriptures are the perfect standard of truth, and, as such, should be given the highest place in education” (Education, p. 17). Through nature God reveals a masterfully planed universe so complex His very existence becomes real.

“God’s demonstration of love to mankind and His plan of salvation provide a purpose and meaning for our existence on earth. God’s love for us is of utmost value and should be shared within a Christian community. We also believe in teaching about a relationship with God. It is our purpose at the Atlanta North School to provide opportunities whereby we can restore in our children the image of God” (Education, p. 15-16). God’s demonstration of love to mankind and His plan of salvation provide a purpose and meaning for our existence on earth. God’s love for us is of most value and should be shared within a Christian community. “Love, the basis of creation and redemption, is the basis of true education” (p. 16).
