We Care About Christian Education
For 25 years, our staff has been preparing students academically, intellectually, spiritually and physically. We acquaint students personally with the Creator of the Universe, the source of all wisdom. We are a fully accredited Pre-K through 8th grade school devoted to quality academics. Our classroom atmosphere promotes Christian graces such as self-control, cheerfulness, gratitude, courtesy, respect, and reverence.
Who Are We?
Atlanta North School is an independent private Christian school educating students in Dunwoody and the greater Atlanta areas in pre-k through the eighth grade. Atlanta North is part of the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventist school system with 39 schools. The school was established in 1990 to provide Christian education in accordance with the greater Seventh-day Adventist nationwide and worldwide education systems. The educational program exists primarily to serve the families of the Atlanta North Seventh-day Adventist Church. However, enrollment is open to any student and parent who have a sincere desire to learn and develop Christian characters. Atlanta North strives for spiritual nurture and educational excellence. We welcome each student and parent to our school for an engagement in learning and an environment of safety in a friendly family atmosphere.
Atlanta North students achieve higher success levels than their peers who attend other public or private schools because our students benefit from low student-to-teacher ratios, flexible and collaborative learning methods, deep relationships that are formed with parents and teachers, along with the nurturing atmosphere. Academically the number of students attending college that have gone to Adventist schools are 85% and from public schools 66%. In addition, the graduates that complete college degrees that have gone to Adventist schools are 80% and public schools 14%.
The research study, Cognitive Genesis, is a groundbreaking study that indicated that students in U.S. Adventist schools perform a half-grade level better than the national average. And the longer they attend, the greater their academic success.
Our promise to each student and parent is a quality Christian-based education. We have a unique, intimate environment of nurturing, encouragement, cooperation, collaboration, and partnership among the students, parents, teachers, and administrator. We instill students with strong academics, marketable skills, Christian values, and a well-rounded educational experience. We are a Christian school, but we welcome students of all faiths and ultimately focus on instilling strong morals and values. We believe that a quality Christian education can be affordable.
